Meet Your Instructor
Taught with heart, by the heart of Chiefland
Rissa Johns is a Certified CPR Instructor and the Mayor of Chiefland, which means when she says she cares about this community's safety, she's already proven it twice.
She founded Queen of Hearts CPR out of a heart for serving her community, and a belief that everyone should have the confidence to save a life. Living in a rural community, Rissa knows emergency responders can't always arrive within the first critical minutes — the skills you learn today could one day save someone you love, or a complete stranger. Every minute counts.
Teaching since 2023, she has trained individuals, families, businesses, churches, and community organizations. Classes are warm, hands-on, and encouraging, open to all ages and skill levels. You'll leave with real skills you'll remember when it counts.

How long is my certification valid?
Your certification card is valid for 2 years.
What should I bring to class?
Just yourself — everything is provided. You'll need a valid email address to receive your certification card.
Do you come to our business or church?
Yes — Rissa travels to businesses, churches, and organizations, and offers in-home and private lessons too. She's taught as far away as the other coast of Florida: she'll travel to teach someone to save a life.
Are there group discounts?
Group rates vary with the size of the class. Reach out with your headcount and Rissa will work out the details with you.
Is this certification valid for my job?
Cards are issued through the American Heart Association — we offer BLS, and BLS with First Aid. If your employer requires a specific card, mention it when you book and Rissa will let you know.
What card or certificate do I receive?
Your class fee includes an American Heart Association certification card — BLS, or BLS with First Aid, depending on your class. It's delivered by email, so bring a valid email address.
How do I pay?
Request your class first and Rissa will confirm your spot. After that you can pay with Cash App, or simply bring cash to class. There's nothing to pay to send a request.
